Forecasters say a huge 200-mile belt of rain, sleet, and then snow is moving north on Thursday. That means lots of England could see snow, especially in the morning. Later on Thursday, the snow will ease up and might turn back into rain or drizzle, especially in the south.

But here’s the thing: we’re not exactly sure where the snow will stop. The Met Office says there’s uncertainty about that.

This snowy spell kicks off early Thursday morning and sticks around for about 24 hours. The Met Office says it could cause big problems, like power cuts, travel delays, and folks in rural areas might get stuck.

If you live in these areas, like the East Midlands, East of England, North East England, North West England, Wales, West Midlands, and Yorkshire & Humber, you gotta plan ahead. Make sure you and others stay safe, especially if you’re out and about traveling.

And that’s not all. Scotland is already dealing with heavy rain in the west and northwest. Some places there could see as much as 170mm of rain!

The Met Office says this rain is sticking around for a while. It’ll move north on Sunday and then come back south on Monday. There’s some uncertainty about how far north it’ll go. But some areas might see a break from the rain on Monday. Still, be prepared for a lot of rain, especially in places like Argyll, Lochaber, and Wester Ross.

So, as we gear up for this wintry blast, let’s all stay safe and prepared. From planning our travels to keeping an eye on our local areas, let’s weather this storm together!
