“Father and Son Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting of Pregnant Teen and Boyfriend”

Date:

In the evening on Wednesday, a 19-year-old named Christopher Preciado and his father, Ramon Preciado, who is 53, were arrested and charged by San Antonio police. This arrest is related to the tragic murders of 18-year-old Savanah Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra in Texas. The young couple was fatally shot in the head during a drug deal that took a dark turn last month.

The victims, Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra, were discovered lifeless in a car outside a San Antonio apartment complex on December 26. Disturbingly, Savanah was pregnant, and her unborn baby was also declared dead. Christopher Preciado is facing capital murder charges, while his father, Ramon Preciado, is charged with abuse of a corpse. Additional charges are pending in this case.

During a press briefing late Wednesday, Police Sergeant Washington Moscoso revealed that the incident seems to be linked to a drug-related transaction that went wrong. The investigation indicates that the murders occurred around midnight on December 21. Savanah Soto had gone missing on December 22, a day before she was scheduled to have a labor induction.

Family members reported Savanah missing when she did not appear for her appointment at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital. Surveillance footage near the crime scene was released earlier, featuring two persons of interest. One suspect was seen driving the victims’ Kia Optima, while the other was operating a dark pickup truck.

Christopher Preciado is accused of killing the young couple, while his father allegedly assisted in moving the bodies to another location after their deaths. Ramon Preciado faces capital murder charges for this alleged involvement.

The investigation was aided by the recovery of Savanah’s cell phone, providing crucial information. Cops were able to trace a potential location of the suspects’ vehicle, as seen in the surveillance footage. Both Christopher and Ramon Preciado were taken into custody and walked out of the police station in front of the local media on Wednesday. Police have clarified that they are not seeking other suspects.

The department expressed their deepest condolences to the Soto and Guerra families through social media. The tragic incident has left the community in morning.
