Three women who used to work for Donald Trump in the White House are worried that if he gets re-elected in 2024, it could be really bad for American democracy. They spoke on TV and said that people might forget the chaotic things that happened during Trump’s time as president, and they want to make sure everyone knows the risks.

Sarah Matthews, who used to be a deputy White House press secretary, talked about her concern on a show called ABC’s This Week. She said that people might not remember the problems from Trump’s earlier years and might not be paying attention to the threats to democracy now. She’s hopeful that they can stop him in the primary elections, but time is running out.

Another person in the interview was Cassidy Hutchinson, who used to work in the White House. She was an important witness against Trump in investigations by the US House committee in 2022. Alyssa Farah Griffin, Trump’s former communications director, was also there, and she said she’s really scared of Trump coming back to power.

They all said that if Trump gets a second term, it could be the end of American democracy. Griffin mentioned that during the investigations, they saw Trump trying to steal the election and doing things that are not allowed by the rules. She’s also worried about the strong following he has, which can lead to threats and harassment.

There was even an incident where someone made a fake emergency call to the police at the home of Maine’s secretary of state, Shenna Bellows, who had removed Trump from the state’s presidential primary. This is a dangerous situation, and it shows the kind of problems that can happen.

Hutchinson said that voters should believe Trump when he talks about being a dictator because it shows he’s not a strong leader. Matthews added that they don’t need to guess what Trump’s second administration would be like because they already saw it happen. He still insists that the election was stolen and talks about doing things against the constitution.

The women talked about the challenges they faced for speaking out against Trump. They mentioned secret meetings and losing friends in the White House. Despite the sacrifices, they think it’s important to stand up against Trump because time is running out to stop him from becoming president again.

The interview highlighted the bravery of these women in standing against Trump. They spoke about critical moments in history that people wouldn’t know about if they hadn’t come forward. Griffin emphasized that doing the right thing is more important to her than any future job or power, especially if Trump becomes president again.
